Kelleher for Youth Scholarship
Kelleher for Youth is proud to announce our new initiative, The International Scholarship Program, is set to begin.
Kelleher for Youth aims to promote an International Relationship between the Youth of France and New Zealand through sport, with an added focus on Environmental awareness.
Kelleher for Youth will provide a joint Scholarship for two young enthusiastic Rugby players that demonstrate similar values and passion as Byron feels for the Game of Rugby.
Two Scholarships will be granted, one to a suitable young player from Otago Boys High School, Dunedin, New Zealand. And one reciprocal Scholarship will be given to a passionate young French, Toulousian Rugby player.
Kelleher for Youth will provide as part of the Scholarship,
> Personal trainer assessment and a progressive gym programme
> Rugby clothing and boots
> A nutritional assessments and supplements
> A Biomechanical assessment and physiotherapy management
> A Mentorship with an Ex- professional rugby player, skilled in the players position
To improve international relations a tutor will also be provided to each recipient, one to teach English to the young Toulousian player and the other to teach French to the young New Zealand player.
MSN will provide internet communication so the two (boys) are able directly talk with each other, share their ideas and thoughts on what culture is, talk about rugby, sport, school and the environment.
Each (player) will be asked to research and present a project on Sustainable Development respective to their country. They will present their projects to each other via MSN. The goal is to promote an international relationship between the youth and increase their awareness of Sustainable Development.
Kelleher for Youth chose Toulouse to find the young French player because of how the City has embraced Byron, The people of Toulouse allowed Byron to express himself not only as a rugby player but also as a person. Kelleher for Youth would like to give back to the City of Toulouse, by giving to the next generation of player. Byron will pass on the Rugby Jersey he has so proudly worn to a talented young protégé.
The New Zealand Player will be selected from Otago Boys High School, Dunedin, Otago. It was while attending Otago Boys High School that Byron developed not only his Rugby skills as a player, but also the values and ethics he believes in today. What better School than Otago Boys to provide the complementary player to that of the one chosen in Toulouse.
Kelleher for Youth is proud to present this premier initiative.
